Terminology matters

The way we label new technologies impacts our understanding of their potential benefits and dangers. This is important, especially in a clinical context.

For this reason, describing a model like ChatGPT as “an AI”— a term often conflated with AGI (i.e., Terminator, Wall-E) — is an ethically questionable thing to do.
