Refuge for those in the Middle East

This is an open letter to those impacted by the conflict in the Middle East. My intent is to show compassion for all sides. I will end with an invitation.

I live in Rochester, New York. I study and conduct healthcare research with people from all over the Middle East, including Palestine, Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and Egypt.

To those impacted by the conflict, I can’t imagine what you are going through. You inspire me with your courage and resilience.

If it helps, I have extra space where I live – a spare room. You are welcome to come stay there. You can stay for a short time, just to process events, or you can stay longer (I will be here at least until May).

I hope you can travel soon, and I hope to see you soon. Welcome.

Sam
